President confers military awards upon serving, martyred armed forces’ personnel
These awards include forty-one Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military and one Sitara-e-Basalat posthumously.
Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday conferred military awards upon serving and martyred armed forces' personnel for rendering meritorious services for defence of the motherland.
These awards were conferred in an investiture ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Sunday
These awards include forty-one Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military and one Sitara-e-Basalat posthumously.
Earlier, the President of the State conferred the honor of Nishan-e- Pakistan on the Saudi Defense Minister.
A ceremony was held in the President's House to confer the Nishan Pakistan on Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, which was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Army Chief General Asim Munir, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and others.
