It is pleaded that in case of not taking oath the senate elections should be postponed.


Peshawar: A writ has filed in Peshawar High court (PHC) by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples party (PPP) and Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI) for not taking oath from elected members on reserve seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the details, elected members filed plea in court on reserve seats.
It is stated in the plea that it is unfair of not taking oath from elected members on reserve seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Oath should be taken from elected members on reserve seats so that they can cast their vote in senate elections.
In accordance with the applicants, the PHC has already given verdict on reserve seats and election commission issued the notification of elected members on reserve seats.
It is pleaded that in case of not taking oath the senate elections should be postponed.
