Maryam, Nawaz condole family of youth killed by kite string
Both Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif offered condolences to Asif Ashfaq's father Muhammad Ashfaq and other family members.
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif reached Railway Housing Colony Sumanabad in Faisalabad visited the family of Asif Ashfaq, a young man who was killed by metallic kite string.
Both Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif offered condolences to Asif Ashfaq's father Muhammad Ashfaq and other family members. They prayed for the forgiveness and higher ranks of Asif Ashfaq, and expressed their deep grief, sorrow and sympathies with the bereaved family.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif hugged and consoled the late Asif Ashfaq's mother, who started crying bitterly. Madam Chief Minister held her hand and consoled her. Madam Maryam Nawaz Sharif remarked,”I am a mother and understand the pain of a mother.” She added,”The painful death of Asif Ashfaq is a matter of concern for the entire society.”
Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also consoled the bereaved family, and said,”Everyone must stop this crime, the horrible video is not seen.”
Brother and father of Late Asif said,”Our Asif is gone, don't let anyone else's Asif go.”
Madam Chief Minister said,”Kite flying has become a blood sport, not a pastime any more.” She requested the parents to fulfill their social responsibility of preventing their children from flying kites. She added,”Strict legal action will be taken on making, selling and buying of metallic kite string.*
IG Police apprised madam Chief Minister about the arrest of persons responsible for the tragic incident. He told that the buyers, sellers and makers have been traced. IG further briefed that the string was being supplied in Punjab from KPK through Panda Door.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Former Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Parliamentarians, Pakistan Muslim League-N leaders, Chief Secretary, IG Punjab and others senior officers were also present.
