Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 1,843 new COVID-19 cases, taking the number of infections to 924,667, while 80 more people have succumbed to the deadly coronavirus.

Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,843 cases of coronavirus were reported while 80 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 20,930.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 924,667.
As many as 848,685 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,842 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 340,557 in the province with 10,084 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 319,447 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,039.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 132,822 in the province with 5,051 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 25,295 confirmed cases while 282 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 19,287 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 548. On the other hand, there are 5,600 cases in GB with 107 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 81,357 cases in the capital city while 763 people have lost their lives.
