NAB Prosecutor told the court that they had recommended removing Shireen Mazari's name from ECL in March.


Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday ordered to remove the name of former minister Shireen Mazari from the Exit Control List (ECL).
According to the details, Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz of IHC heard the petition to remove the name of former leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shireen Mazari from Exit Control List (ECL).
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor Rafi Maqsood told the court that NAB had recommended removing Shireen Mazari's name from ECL in March, as she is not an accused in the £190 million NAB case.
The Assistant Attorney General said that we also informed the Prime Minister by writing a letter on March 27.
Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz remarked that the cabinet has a lot of work to do, let us do it. The court ordered to remove Shireen’s name from ECL and disposed of the application.
It is pertinent to note that on December 1, the IHC ordered the removal of Shireen Mazari's name from the Passport Control List (PCL).
