President Zardari meets General Sahir Shamshad Mirza 

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has met with chairman joint chiefs of staff committee general Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

According to the details, the chairman joint chiefs of staff committee briefed the President of Pakistan on the security situation and operational preparations of the armed forces.

Sahir Shamshad stated that armed forces are capable of effectively dealing with internal and external security challenges.

Asif Ali Zardari appreciated the role of armed forces in border defense and socio-economic development of the country. He said that he is confident that the security forces will successfully overcome the internal and external security challenges. 

However, in the meeting determination was also expressed to root out the menace of terrorism with the cooperation of the nation.
