According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, the Prime Minister will be accompanied by the Foreign Minister and the Defense Minister.
Along with Shehbaz Sharif, members of Reko Diq Investment Committee will also go to Saudi Arabia.
Information Minister Atta Tarar says that the Prime Minister will leave by commercial flight. Shehbaz Sharif and members of the delegation will bear the expenses from their personal pockets.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will also perform Umrah and offer prayers at Masjid-e-Nabawi.
It is pertinent to note that this is Shehbaz Sharif's first foreign visit after assuming the post of Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. The meeting will discuss the matters of mutual interest, while the regional and global situation will also be discussed among the two leaders.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will also invite the Saudi Crown Prince to visit Pakistan.
According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have long-standing fraternal ties rooted in religious and cultural affinity. The people of Pakistan have the utmost respect and reverence for King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
The leadership of both countries is committed to furthering brotherly relations and making economic and investment relations mutually beneficial.
It is reported that Saudi Arabia is showing the possibility of investing one billion dollars for the Reko Diq project.
