Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced to give up to 300 units of solar system to deserving people.
Talking to the media in Sukkur, PPP leader Khurshid Shah said that they will provide solar systems up to 300 units, but it will take time.
It is pertinent to note that PPP announced in the election manifesto that after the formation of the government, free electricity will be provided to the consumers who use up to 300 units, while the Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had also announced that after the formation of the government, they will try to provide free electricity to the consumers for using 200 units.
A few days ago, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced to give 50,000 solar systems across the province.
A review meeting of solar home solution was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, in which Secretary Energy told that the system will include advanced solar plate, inverter, battery and other systems. 12.6 billion rupees will be allocated for the program in the first phase.
