Islamabad: Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has assigned powers to returning officer (RO) and presiding officer as magistrate in the constituencies of by-elections on the 21 seats of national and provincial assemblies.
According to the details, the notification issued by the election commission the district and returning officers will have the jurisdiction of rank 1st on the polling day of by-elections.
It is stated in the notification that this jurisdiction which has been given to presiding officers will be remained from April 20-22 in the 21 constituencies.
It should be noted that the polling for by-elections will be conducted on April 21 on the 21 seats of national and provincial assemblies.
