Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari convened a joint session of Parliament on Tuesday, April 16 at 4:00pm.
According to the press wing of the Presidency, the President called a joint session of the Parliament under Articles 54 (1) and 56 (3) of the Constitution.
According to the declaration, the President will address the joint session of the Parliament at the beginning of the parliamentary year after the general elections under Article 56 (3) of the Constitution.
It is pertinent to note that President Asif Ali Zardari has called the Senate meeting on April 9, in which the election of the chairman and deputy chairman will be held.
