The ECP says these elections encompass six National Assembly seats, twelve Punjab Assembly seats, two seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, one seat in the Sindh Assembly and two seats in the Balochistan Assembly.


Islamabad: The by-elections on 23 vacant seats National and Provincial Assemblies will be held on 21st of this month.
According to Election Commission of Pakistan, these elections encompass six National Assembly seats, twelve Punjab Assembly seats, two seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, one seat in the Sindh Assembly and two seats in the Balochistan Assembly.
Two hundred and thirty nine candidates are vying for contest in by-elections.
50 candidates are contesting for vacant National Assembly seats.
Twenty three candidates are vying for the vacant seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, while 154 candidates are seeking their fortunes in Punjab.
Meanwhile, twelve contenders are in the running for vacant seats in the Balochistan Assembly.
