50 million rupees have been released for financial assistance to the families of those who died in 12 affected districts.


Peshawar: 32 people have been killed and 41 got injured so far as a result of accidents due to recent rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a report on the loss of life and property in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to heavy rains.
According to the PDMA report, 15 children, 12 men and five women are among the dead, while six women, 28 men and seven children are among the injured.
The report states that a total of 1370 houses were damaged in the province due to the collapse of walls and roofs, in which 160 houses were completely damaged and 1210 houses were partially damaged.
The PDMA said that the rains affected Khyber, Upper and Lower Dir, Chitral, Swat, Bajaur, Shangla, Mansehra, Mohmand, Malakand, Kirk, Tank, Mardan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Buner, Hangu, Batgram and Bannu. There were losses in North and South Waziristan, Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan.
According to the PDMA report, following the instructions of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, 50 million rupees have been released for financial assistance to the families of those who died in 12 affected districts.
