Social media platform X issued a statement regarding its shutdown in Pakistan.
The statement issued released by X stated that it will continue to work with the Pakistani government to understand their concerns.
It is pertinent to note that the Ministry of Interior said in its report submitted to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) yesterday that it was necessary to ban social media platform X. The shutdown of X is not a violation of the constitutional right of expression.
In this regard, the Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered the Ministry of Interior to withdraw the letter of shutdown of X.
