Covid-19: Pakistan reports 1,629 new cases, 76 deaths
Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,629 cases of coronavirus were reported while 76 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 21,265.
The total number of cases has reached 930,511.
As many as 860,385 patients have recovered from the disease with no critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 341,789 in the province with 10,241 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 322,350 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,105.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 134,072 in the province with 4,135 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 25,589 confirmed cases while 287 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 19,456 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 551. On the other hand, there are 5,629 cases in GB with 107 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 81,626 cases in the capital city while 763 people have lost their lives
