She continued to say: “ I salute all of you, I am happy that the first Sword of Honor was given to a woman police officer".

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Thursday said that she wants half of police force be employed with female staff.
Addressing the passing out parade in Lahore, she stated that in the past, when she used to go for meetings, she used to see that women police officers were carrying heavy weapons and were working in positions held by men.
‘I used to feel happy to see them. I told Inspector General (IG) Punjab that the number of 7,000 is too low, it should be increased. Women are super humans; we are mothers and daughters too. As diligently as we perform our responsibilities, no one can even imagine how hard it takes,’ added Maryam Nawaz.
She continued to say: “ I salute all of you, I am happy that the first Sword of Honor was given to a woman police officer, I am proud of you all. I have been waiting for this ceremony since I took oath as Chief Minister”.
Maryam Nawaz further said that when I wore the police uniform, I realized how big a responsibility it is. I make the decisions and you implement them, therefore, you have a bigger responsibility. Women are soft-hearted and forgive a lot of things, but to act justly in this position, there should be no place for the oppressor in your heart.
The Chief Minister of Punjab further stated that when she has to make a decision against someone, she does it with heavy heart, but in a society where there is no justice, it deteriorates. You are expected to bring the wrongdoer to their destination. She also congratulated everyone. These daughters will not let their parents bow down.
She also added that she was the daughter of Nawaz Sharif, who was the three-time prime minister, but she also had to prove herself. She had to go through the river of fire and it was good that she was trained. No one can now say that she is here because her father was the Prime Minister.
Maryam continued that stand by your daughters, let them do what they want to do, then they will be a source of pride for you and the country.
