The fee for 72 pages will be Rs18,500 and the fee for 100 pages will be Rs23,000


Islamabad: The government has increased the fees of the fast-track category of passports.
According to media reports, the fee for a 36-page machine-readable passport valid for five years from May 8, 2024 will cost Rs12,500. The fee for 72 pages will be Rs18,500 and the fee for 100 pages will be Rs23,000.
For a ten-year machine-readable passport, the fee for 36, 72 and 100 pages will be Rs16,200, Rs25,200 and Rs32,000 respectively.
On the other hand, on March 6 this year, the Directorate General of Passports and Immigration had already increased the passport fees for various categories and pages. However, they failed in the timely delivery of passports, while the fees were increased.
It is pertinent to note that the fee for five-year 36-page normal passport has been increased to Rs4,000, while the fee for an urgent passport is Rs7,500. Ten-year passport fee is Rs6,700 rupees and urgent passport fee is Rs11,200.
