Rawalpindi: Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Member National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat Wednesday announced that he will not work with the current leadership of PTI.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, PTI leader Sher Afzal said that prison authorities can obstruct the meetings or those who are above them. Yesterday I came to meet PTI founder and was not allowed to meet, same happened today.
He stated: “It was necessary for me to meet Imran Khan, but Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz did not allow me to meet the founder of PTI According to Shibli, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) said that the name of Sher Afzal Marwat is not acceptable”.
He added that on the basis of the objection of the Saudi ambassador, the nomination for chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was canceled, there is no more interest in this position.
The member of the National Assembly further said that he has no greed for positions. ‘I took PTI when it had become a dead horse, I will never create problems for the founder PTI, I informed him that I am being targeted since February 8, I do not accept disrespect, the official media team of the party is against me’.
Sher Afzal Marwat also stated that Imran Khan made him a member of the political committee, but was removed by voting in the political committee.
He continued to say he didn't even want to contest the election, but did so on the request of founder PTI. ‘I came out for the founder of PTI and for freedom. The agenda for which I came out has ended today. These people should come and lead, I will follow them, let them give their statements and then I will reveal their realities’.
