Appeals against nullification of NAB amendments set for hearing
The court has issued notices to the parties
Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan Friday scheduled the government's appeals against the nullification of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) amendments for hearing.
A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa will hear on May 14. Justice Aminuddin, Justice Jamal Mandukhel, Justice Athar Minullah and Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi are included in the bench.
The court has issued notices to the parties.
Apart from this, the suo motu notice case on the appointment of vice-chancellors in government universities was also fixed for hearing in the Supreme Court.
A three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice will hear on May 15.
In the previous hearing, the Supreme Court had sought a report from the federal and provincial governments on the appointment of vice-chancellors. The issue of appointment of Vice-Chancellors came up in the case related to service structure of Malakand University staff.
