Sher Afzal Marwat's role has caused embarrassment to the party and its members, due to which disciplinary action will be taken against him

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Saturday issued a show-cause notice to its leader and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat.
According to the details, Secretary General Omar Ayub issued a show cause notice to Sher Afzal Marwat for making irresponsible statements.
Omar Ayub said that the reputation of the party has been damaged by such statements. The founder of PTI Imran Khan has made clear orders not to make irresponsible statements.
According to the show cause notice, Sher Afzal Marwat's role has caused embarrassment to the party and its members, due to which disciplinary action will be taken against him.
PTI sought an explanation from Marwat within three days and that if he does not give a satisfactory answer within the stipulated time, further action will be taken under party discipline.
It is pertinent to note that PTI’s Sher Afzal earlier accused both the US and Saudi Arabia of conspiring to topple the PTI government.
PTI had publicly expressed indifference to his remarks, but Sher Afzal Marwat said that it was his personal opinion and he stood by it.
A few days ago, talking to the media in Rawalpindi, he said that Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz did not allow him to meet the founder of PTI.
Afzal added that the jail authorities can obstruct the meetings, those who are above can also obstruct. ‘I came out for PTI founder and freedom’.
Sher Afzal Marwat further said that the agenda for which he came out has ended. Imran Khan was misled on every issue, now they should lead and I will follow them.
