Incumbent rulers unable to perform, says Maulana Fazl

Multan:  Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F)  Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday said that they did not compromise on their stance about the recently held general elections, saying that calling it an election is wrong because massive rigging was done this time.

“We don’t have personal enmity with the PTI,” said Maulana Fazlur Rehman while addressing a press conference in Multan.

The JUI-F demanded re-election in the country and made it clear that the establishment should stay away from it.

The JUI-F chief said that the current government could not perform well in the given situation. He believed that the majority was not in the power.

“The PML-N is ruling the country while the PPP is not part of the government,” he stated.

“His name had never been anywhere since the beginning,” said Maulana Fazl while responding to a question about the properties leaks. He said he first time appeared before the court in Tank in his political career.

He stated that there is a need to end this thing whether they cannot run any movement without permission of the establishment or not.

“We need to end this mindset whether we cannot run any movement without the establishment; whether we cannot contest any election without their role. If the national does not take any stand for their right to vote then we will go more to the slavery,” he said.

“A public department becomes our ruler then how can we accept it. We as the party have held three gatherings. You will see a strong reaction from the public on June 1,” said Maulana Fazl.

He said that there is no government at this time.

To another question that the JUI-F chief always played the role of reconciliation and whether it would be again in the coming days, he said that they have no other option but to remain consistent with their own stance when their own have left them.

“It is court verdict and nothing else, because I am not petitioner in it,” he said while responding to a question about Imran Khan’s bail in 190 million pounds.

He regretted over what happened with the farmers, saying that all those who were responsible must be held accountable.
