Nicolas Cage is back as Spider-Man in live-action Amazon series
Nicolas Cage will be reprising his role as Spider-Man Noir in the live-action Amazon series Noir.
The new series, which was first reported last year, is simply called Noir and, according to Amazon, โtells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the cityโs one and only superhero.โ Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher on Netflix) will serve as co-showrunners, while Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, who worked on the Spider-Verse films, will be executive producers.
Noir doesnโt currently have a premiere date, but Amazon says it will premiere domestically on MGM Plusโ linear channel, before streaming on Prime Video afterward. Itโs also not the only Spidey spinoff in the works at Amazon, joining Silk: Spider Society from showrunner Angela Kang (The Walking Dead).
