Three heatwaves likely to hit country for next 25 days
The third heat wave is expected during the first 10 days of June which will affect Tharparkar, Umarkot, Sanghar, Badin and Khairpur
Lahore: There is a risk of three heatwaves in different cities of the country during the next 25 days.
According to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the risk of first heatwave is in Umarkot, Tharparkar, Tindwalayar, Matiari, Sanghar in Sindh, while in Punjab Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.
The NDMA said that during May 15 to 30, the temperature in these areas may reach 40 degrees and the heat may be felt even higher while this first spell of heat wave may last for two to three days.
According to NDMA, a second heat wave is expected in late May or early June in which the temperature may go up to 45 degrees and will last for four to five days.
The third heat wave is expected during the first 10 days of June which will affect Tharparkar, Umarkot, Sanghar, Badin and Khairpur.
