Protest against electricity load shedding in Peshawar
The protestors said that they will take control of the grid station if the load shedding continues
Peshawar: The protests are being held in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature will rise to 42 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours.
According to the details, the protesters gathered and protested outside Rehman Baba Grid Station in Peshawar, led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Fazal Elahi. Rehman Baba grid station has also been closed.
The protestors said that they will take control of the grid station if the load shedding continued. PTI leader Fazal Elahi threatened to close the Hazar Khawani grid station.
Fazal Elahi stated that due to the closure of Hazar Khawani grid station, the electricity of Islamabad will also be cut off.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather in Peshawar is likely to remain hot and dry, adding that the air humidity has been recorded at 27 percent.
The Meteorological Department said that the temperature in Peshawar has been recorded at 23 degrees Celsius, and mercury is likely to rise to 42 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours.
It has also been predicted by the Met Department that the highest temperature was recorded at 45 degrees Celsius in Dera Ismail Khan, adding that Kohistan, Dir, Swat are likely to experience thundershowers.
