President, PM urge world to hold India accountable for gross human rights violations in IOK
Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have urged international community to hold India accountable for committing gross human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

In his message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the President said that in order to maintain durable peace in South Asia, it is highly important to resolve Kashmir issue in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and wishes of Kashmiri people.
Dr. Alvi said that self-determination is one of the fundamental rights codified in the United Nations Charter and denial of this right and subjugation of Kashmiris is the very negation of human dignity.
He warned that India is changing Muslim majority into minority in Kashmir by altering the demography of the region.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, in his message, said that Pakistan will remain unshakable in its solidarity with the Kashmiri people until they realize their inalienable right to self-determination.
He reiterated Pakistan’s support for Kashmiri brothers and sisters, who are subjected to an inhuman military siege and communications blackout since August 05, 2019.
Imran Khan also demanded India to give access to international human rights organizations, as well as the international media to investigate the grave human rights situation in the occupied territory.
The Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed today (Friday) across the country with renewed commitment to bring Kashmir issue to the limelight and expose worst ever oppression being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
