Islamabad: The federal government mulled options to end Saturday as a holiday, the sources familiar with the development said on Tuesday.
The Cabinet Division asked all the ministries to come up with the suggestions regarding cancellation of the Saturday as holiday.
The sources said that once this feedback is gathered, the matter would be submitted to the federal cabinet for approval.
The reports suggested that the results of observing Saturday as a holiday were unsatisfactory.
The proposal to discontinue the Saturday holiday would be reviewed in a cabinet meeting after Eid-ul-Adha.
