The names of nine judges will be considered for the vacant seats of three judges in the Supreme Court


Islamabad: The meeting of the Judicial Commission will be held today (Friday) on the issue of the appointment of judges in the Supreme Court.
In the meeting presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, the names of nine judges will be considered for the vacant seats of three judges in the Supreme Court.
The names of six judges from the Lahore High Court (LHC) including Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed will be considered. While, three judges from the Sindh High Court (SHC) including Aqeel Abbasi will be considered.
In the Supreme Court, 14 out of 17 judges are performing their duties while the seats of three judges are vacant.
