Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the IHC heard the request for the recovery of poet Farhad and to determine the persons responsible for the abduction

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC), while hearing the petition for the recovery of the poet Ahmed Farhad, Friday said that this is a series of cruelty which has become a new normal.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the IHC heard the request for the recovery of poet Farhad and to determine the persons responsible for the abduction, during which the court raised the question of how should the law be enforced in Islamabad. ‘I am sending the matter to the committee, respect the law because no one is above the law including the judges’.
Justice Mohsin stated that the institutions should work within their limits. As a result of the court action, a man went in two cases due to ego problem, whose family is affected, this is a series of cruelty. The courts will see the matters within the boundaries of Islamabad. The court will ban in-camera proceedings and its reporting on matters of national security. I am sending the matter to a larger bench so that if the position of one judge is different, other judges can also look into this. May be the rest of the members not agree that the heads of the intelligence agencies should be called.
The court added: “We have to sit and decide which line is not to be crossed. In this one case the whole government machinery comes and stands here. The institutions or the courts do not run on the ego issue. I still am preventing myself from any harm. This court is always available to protect the rights of this man. The investigation will proceed as a result of Ahmed Farhad's statement before the magistrate. If you feel, refer to the court again. I know how to carry out my orders”.
Later, the court disposed of the recovery petition of poet Ahmed Farhad.
