Sikh pilgrims arrive in Lahore to participate in Jor Mela
Punjab Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, along with Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar, welcomed the guests
Lahore: Around 846 Sikh pilgrims from India, led by Sardar Gurbachan Singh, arrived in Lahore on Saturday via Wagah border to participate in the Jor Mela in commemoration of martyrdom of the fifth Guru, Arjun Dev Ji.
Punjab Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, along with Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar, welcomed the guests.
Later, talking to the media, Punjab Minister Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that the Evacuee Trust Property Board has made elaborate arrangements for Sikh yatrees arriving from India and around the world.
He said Yatrees are being provided accommodation, security, medical care, travel, and all other necessary facilities.
