Lilongwe: The plane carrying the Vice President of Malawi Saulos Chilima has gone missing during its flight, according to British media reports. The aircraft had 10 people on board, including the Vice President.
The aircraft disappeared from the radar shortly after takeoff. The Air Force plane was en route from the capital city, Lilongwe, to Mzuzu.
In response to the incident, the President of Malawi Lazarus Chakwera has issued orders to initiate a search for the missing plane. The President has also canceled his scheduled trip to the Bahamas to focus on the search and rescue efforts.
This concerning development has prompted immediate action to locate the aircraft and ensure the safety of the Vice President and all other passengers on board.
