Six police officers suspended for refusing Covid-19 vaccine
Karachi: Six lady police officers has been suspended after refusing to get vaccinated against Covid-19. Even salaries of employees who did not received the jab were withheld.
The process of suspension and withholding salaries of government employees has started over refusing to vaccination against the global epidemic.
Following this, the District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu suspended six female police officers for refusing to administer corona vaccine.
As per government orders, all departments have issued final warnings to employees regarding compliance against COVID related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Meanwhile, SSP Qambar Shahdadkot Dr. Sameer Noor Channa ordered to hold the salaries of 671 police officers for not receiving corona virus vaccine.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,194 cases of coronavirus were reported while 57 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 21,633.
The total number of cases has reached 939,931.
As many as 875,581 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,760 critical cases.
In Sindh, the number of infections has surged to 327,021 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,220.
