Lahore: Renowned Pakistani actor Iftikhar Thakur on Saturday revealed that the late actor Qavi Khan used to find matches and arrange marriages for girls from needy families.
Iftikhar Thakur, a well-known actor and host in the Pakistani showbiz industry, shared this during a podcast where he openly discussed his personal life.
During the podcast, he disclosed details about his close friend, the late legendary actor Qavi Khan. Thakur mentioned that Qavi Khan had a foundation in the city of Multan dedicated to arranging marriages for underprivileged girls.
Thakur explained that for the past 30 years, this foundation has been finding suitable matches and fully arranging dowries for the girls.
The process includes first finding good matches for the girls and then preparing complete dowries for them.
Moreover, the foundation continues to stay in touch with the girls even after their marriages.
He further mentioned that although Qavi Khan has passed away, the foundation still has sufficient funds to continue its work for many years to come.
