It has been confirmed that more than 50 people are injured, including three railway employees among the dead


Kolkata: 13 people were killed and many injured in a collision between a passenger train and a freight vehicle in the Indian city of Kolkata.
According to Indian media, the accident between trains in the city of Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal took place on Monday, where a passenger train Kanchenjunga Express and a freight train collided near Rangapani station, resulting in the death of 13 passengers so far.
It has been confirmed that more than 50 people are injured, including three railway employees among the dead.
According to the Indian media, the accident occurred at 9:00am, three coaches of the passenger train derailed after a collision with a freight car. Most of the fatalities in the accident were due to severe damage to a bogie.
According to the Indian Railway authorities, as soon as the accident was reported, the rescue personnel reached the accident site and started rescue operations.
