Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,239 cases of coronavirus were reported while 56 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 21,689.
The total number of cases has reached 941,170.
As many as 877,191 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,661 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 343,926 in the province with 10,501 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 327,604 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,236.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 135,877 in the province with 4,216 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 26,201 confirmed cases while 294 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 19,756 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 563. On the other hand, there are 5,707 cases in GB with 108 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 82,099 cases in the capital city while 771 people have lost their lives.
