The Chief Minister of Punjab directed that advance arrangements should be made in view of Muharram, flood and possible rains


Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Saturday directed to make advance arrangements due to Muharram, flood and possible rains.
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam in which the overall performance regarding Eid-ul-Adha and other administrative matters was reviewed across the province.
Maryam Nawaz appreciated the performance of Deputy Commissioners and their teams for excellent performance on Eid.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Punjab said that she is happy with her entire team and congratulated them, The journey of serving the people should continue with the same enthusiasm. The Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners should dedicate one day in a week for the public.
She stated that hospitals and schools should be visited regularly, and reports should be taken about the building, electricity wiring, and other issues. Every district should have a permanent control room for monitoring like Eid.
Chief Minister Punjab also appreciated the performance of Provincial Information Minister Azma Zahid Bokhari, Provincial Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique. She also praised the in-charge CM Complaint Cell Shoaib Mirza and Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik.
Maryam added: “The media, public representatives, and the public reacted positively to the Eid cleaning. Quaid Nawaz Sharif himself visited and reviewed the arrangements and appreciated them. Appreciation by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is like an honor for us”.
The standard of cleanliness established on Eid must be maintained in every case. The cleaning arrangements in cities, towns and villages were not only satisfactory but also excellent, she said, adding that after removing the garbage, the roads were first washed and sprayed with water mixed with rose water, said the Chief Minister.
She further stated that the administration and officials performed their duties diligently and did full justice to the duty. Deputy Commissioners and their team worked well to reduce bus fares.
The Chief Minister of Punjab directed that advance arrangements should be made in view of Muharram, flood and possible rains. Sustainable mechanism should be made to provide basic food items to the common man at low prices. A Chief Minister regretfully said that he wishes that their bureaucracy and administration would be like that of Punjab.
Maryam also added that she does not want to be harsh with anyone. If she gets harsh, her heart is burdened. ‘I am accountable to Allah Almighty and the nation about the rights of the people, the interest and convenience of the people comes first’.
Provincial Information Minister Azma Bokhari, Provincial Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Additional Inspector General (IG), Secretaries, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal and others were also present. All commissioners and Deputy Commissioners participated through video link.
