Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has administered oath to new judges incuding Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, Justice Aqeel Abbasi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan


Islamabad: A swearing-in ceremony for the three newly appointed Supreme Court judges was held, where Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa administered the oath to Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, Justice Aqeel Abbasi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
The ceremony was attended by Supreme Court judges, the Attorney General, and lawyers.
It may be mentioned here that after the approval of the President, the Ministry of Law and Justice issued a notification for the appointment of three new judges to the Supreme Court.
According to the notification, Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Aqeel Abbasi, has been appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court. Additionally, Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed, and Lahore judge Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan have also been appointed as judges of the Supreme Court.
Furthermore, Dr. Qibla Ayaz has taken the oath as an ad hoc judge of the Supreme Court's Shariat Appellate Bench. Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa administered the oath to Justice Qibla Ayaz. With his appointment, the Shariat Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court has been completed.
On the other hand, a notification was issued for the appointment of senior Lahore High Court judge, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, as the acting Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
Justice Shujaat Ali Khan will continue to fulfill these responsibilities until the appointment of a permanent Chief Justice by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
Similarly, the President of Pakistan appointed senior Sindh High Court judge, Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui, as the acting Chief Justice of the High Court.
