Lahore: In Punjab's government schools, weekly two-day holidays have been announced, resulting in Saturdays and Sundays being off.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood announced that Saturdays and Sundays will now be holidays in government schools due to increased workload on teachers. He stated that instructional hours from Monday to Friday will be extended.
He emphasized that Saturdays will be utilized for teacher training, capacity building, and other matters.
Rana Mashood further mentioned that issues regarding teachers' promotions are also being resolved swiftly, and a regularization plan for 14,000 educators and SSEs is forthcoming soon.
