Lahore: The excitement of self-proclaimed singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan over the reinstatement of his viral track “Badoo Badi” on YouTube was short-lived, as the video-sharing platform deleted it once more.

Just a day earlier, the internet sensation was celebrating the return of his video, which had amassed nearly 30 million views. The track had gained widespread popularity, being featured in numerous Instagram Reels and TikTok videos globally.

According to Chahat, the video was removed again soon after a copyright strike—originally issued following a complaint by the official channel of the late legendary singer Noorjahan—was lifted. The removal this time was due to another channel reporting the video for copyright infringement.

Previously, after the video was first taken down, Chahat released another version of the same song. Although this version also received a copyright strike, YouTube did not delete it; however, the strike prevented the video from being monetized.

Last week, Chahat released “Bado Badi 2,” a second rendition of his viral song, in time for Eid-ul-Adha but decided against uploading it to YouTube to avoid further issues.

Chahat stated that he would refrain from using YouTube for his song to prevent further complications. The new version features a new model whose name remains unknown, replacing the original model Wajdan Rao, who had a falling out with Chahat, accusing him of only paying her Rs5,000 for her work.

“Bado Badi 2” has been released on Chahat’s official Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram accounts. Chahat mentioned that he plans to release a series of "Badoo Badi" versions in the future.
