Islamabad: Pakistan recorded 34 deaths from the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, the lowest single-day toll from virus in last three months.

Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,019 cases of coronavirus were reported while 34 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 21,723.
The total number of cases has reached 942,189.
As many as 878,740 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,676 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 344,065 in the province with 10,516 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 328,184 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,243.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 136,074 in the province with 4,224 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 26,232 confirmed cases while 294 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 19,783 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 566. On the other hand, there are 5,712 cases in GB with 108 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 82,139 cases in the capital city while 772 people have lost their lives.
