Govt decides to establish SMEs Fund with Rs5b
The meeting decides to provide credit facility to small and medium enterprises for starting business
Islamabad: The federal government decided to establish Small Medium Enterprises Fund with an amount of five billion rupees.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of National Coordination Committee on Small and Medium Enterprises Development chaired by Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain in Islamabad on Tuesday.
It was decided to harmonize and uniform taxes at the federal and provincial levels for the SMEs.
The meeting decided to provide credit facility to small and medium enterprises for starting business. It was also decided to allocate lands to the SMEs at industrial estates.
In his remarks, the Minister for Industries and Production emphasized reducing the cost of doing business to enhance investments.
