Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir said the Supreme Court's judgment in the reserved seats case poses no challenge to the government

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Law Senator Azam Nazir Tarar Friday termed the Supreme Court's decision regarding reserved seats as ‘political’ and that relief was sought by Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) but the court gave it to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir said the Supreme Court's judgment in the reserved seats case poses no challenge to the government.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, he stated the ruling coalition has a clear majority both in the National and Punjab Assemblies.
He recalled that the government passed the finance bill 2024-25 with majority.
The Law Minister added that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was neither a party in the case nor had sought relief. It was Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) which had moved the court for the reserved seats.
Responding to a question, the Law Minister said it is for the political parties, affected by the decision, to decide filing a review petition.
