Locals say protest is right of people but blocking roads and causing inconvenience to others cannot be justified and it must be stopped

Islamabad: The local citizens have started suffering due to the inconvenience caused by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP) protest and sit-in at Faizabad.
The ambulances are also facing trouble passing through the road leading to the main hospitals in the city. The patients, who are critically injured or need emergency medical care, suffered due to the huge crowd and blockage of the roads by the TLP workers.
The people who live near Faizabad Point or use this junction to move to Islamabad or the surrounding areas are forced to use alternative routes, unluckily they don’t have alternatives.
“The sit-in, it seems, will continue for a long period until the TLP demands are met, which is quite disturbing for us,” said a man who driving a car, and was seen struck there due to the huge crowd of the TLP workers.
He said that he needed to reach home early as his mother was not well and she needed medical care.
Another man namely Altaf Khan was of the view that the sit-in at Faizabad caused the people huge trouble. “This point is main to reach the city. It is like blocking the main road of the city which should not be allowed,”.
Some said that the protest in the favour of Palestinians must be held but it did not mean that the local citizens should be put into trouble.
“This is a religious-cum-political party and blocking the roads does not suit this party, because mainly it belongs to religion,” said Bashir Ahmad, a local resident.
The sufferings of the people started after the TLP leaders and workers reached Faizabad to stage a sit-in to demand the government authorities to officially declare Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as terrorist, and to convince the Pakistani authorities to ensure the supply of food and basic items to the people of Gaza.
