The United Arab Emirates (UAE) likely to prolong its ban on arrivals from Pakistan beyond July 6 while only exemptions to the restriction if for a diplomat or UAE national or Golden Visa holder, Eithad Airways said in an update on its website.

“You will be unable to enter the UAE if you are travelling from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal or Sri Lanka, or if you have visited these countries in the past 14 days until the 7 July,” read the statement.
The date might be extended, the airline added.
Flights will continue to show as available for the mentioned destinations in the flight search as exempt guests can travel if they are UAE nationals, Golden Visa holders or diplomats.
Those who have visited the cited countries over the past two weeks would also not be allowed to enter the UAE, the carrier said.
Until further notice, you will be unable to enter the UAE if you are travelling from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal or Sri Lanka, or if you have visited these countries in the past 14 days.
“Your PCR test, in this case, must be taken a maximum of 48 hours before your flight departure from an approved lab, contains a QR code and be printed.”
Flights will continue to display as available for the above destinations in the flight search as exempt guests can travel if they are UAE nationals, Golden Visa holders or diplomats.
However, if anyone hunts on the website for flights to the UAE from Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore, it shows a message that informs you about the July 7 date.
Due to rising COVID cases, UAE earlier placed a travel ban on Pakistan on May 12.
The UK, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia among other countries have already restricted flights from Pakistan.
On the other hand, Emirates has also extended the suspension of passenger flights from India until 6 July 2021.
Furthermore, passengers who have transited through India in the last 14 days will also not be accepted to travel from any other point to the UAE.
Overall, passenger entry from 10 countries are currently suspended: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, South Africa, Zambia, DR Congo and Uganda.
UAE Nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas and members of diplomatic missions who comply with the revised published COVID‑19 protocols will be exempt from travel.
