Petition requested that July 13 decision of Additional Sessions Judge to allow appeals against sentence should be annulled

Islamabad: Bushra Bibi's ex-husband Khawar Manika challenged the acquittal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife in the Iddat Nikah case.
Khawar Manika challenged the acquittal of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Iddat Nikah case in which the government, PTI founder, and his wife have been made parties.
In the petition, it has been argued that the appellate court ignored the important aspects of the case and annulled the sentence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra. The Appellate Court also ignored the statements of the prosecution witnesses. The court's acquittal of both the accused cannot stand legally.
It is requested in the petition that the July 13 decision of the Additional Sessions Judge to allow the appeals against the sentence should be annulled. The February 3 decision of the trial court should be reinstated and the sentence of both should be reinstated.
