Best AI feature likely for Google Photos
Feature will use generative AI to gather details at lightning speed and identify objects in images
California: Google is likely to introduce the Ask Photos feature based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology soon.
The feature was announced at Google's annual developer conference in May and is now being tested in the Google Photos app.
With this Google Gemini-based feature, users will be able to search for their favorite content in the Photos app in a better way.
There is no word yet on whether Google will roll it out to all users, but it is being tested among a limited number of users.
The feature will use generative AI to gather details at lightning speed and identify objects in images. It will also be able to answer questions asked by users.
This feature will be hidden in the search tab of Google Photos and an Ask button will be added to the service. Clicking on this button will bring up a new interface with various questions.
The company said in May that this feature will make it much easier for users to find an image among thousands of images, thereby eliminating the need to waste time scrolling.
