Mastermind of attack on Karachi Police Office, Omar Farooq was killed


Karachi: The mastermind of the attack on the Karachi Police Office was killed in an encounter of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) with the terrorists in Karachi.
According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CTD Asif Ijaz Shaikh, the mastermind of the attack on the Karachi Police Office, Omar Farooq was killed in an encounter with terrorists in the Mochko area on the Northern Bypass in Karachi.
Talking to the media at the civil hospital, he said that CTD raided on a tip-off, and the terrorists there opened fire at the CTD officers. During the firing of the terrorist, a bullet hit Sub-Inspector Irfan's bulletproof jacket, however, he remained safe.
DIG CTD stated that a terrorist was seriously injured by CTD's retaliatory firing and died before reaching the hospital. A pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the dead terrorist.
According to DIG Asif Ijaz, another CTD operation is also ongoing. The same weapon was not used in the recent police killing.
