Kathmandu: A Nepali Airlines plane skidded and crashed in Kathmandu during take-off.
According to local media, 19 people including crew members were on board the Surya Airlines plane that crashed during take-off at Kathmandu Airport. The plane caught fire immediately after the accident.
According to media reports, there have been initial reports of 18 deaths in the plane crash. The rescue operation has been started immediately, and the captain of the plane, Manish Sakya, has been rescued and shifted to the hospital.
The reasons for the plane crash have not yet been revealed, but according to South Asia Times, the plane crashed due to a skid during take-off.
