Arshad will be in action in the javelin throw and Faiqa Riaz in 100m race
Lahore: Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem and sprinter Faiqa Riaz left for Paris to participate in Paris Olympics.
Arshad Nadeem along with his coach Salman Butt left for Paris, while sprinter Faiqa Riaz has also left for Paris Olympics.
It has also been stated that Arshad will be in action in the javelin throw and Faiqa Riaz in 100m race.
Arshad Nadeem will compete in the group round on August 6 and the final on August 8. While Faiqa will compete in the preliminary round of the women's 100m race on August 3.
It is pertinent to note that there are only a few days left before the start of the Paris Olympics and in this biggest sports event, seven athletes from Pakistan will participate in three different sports. Three shooters and two swimmers are also included in the 18-member squad of Pakistan.
