Court also nullified complete jail proceedings of ECP and charge sheet filed against Fawad in Adiala Jail
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday annulled the jail trial of contempt of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) case against former minister Fawad Chaudhary.
In the Islamabad High Court, the contempt of ECP case was heard against Fawad Chaudhary, where Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz gave a verdict on the petition.
The court also nullified the complete jail proceedings of the Election Commission and the charge sheet filed against Fawad in Adiala Jail.
It is pertinent to note that on July 11, the contempt of election commission case was heard against the founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and the former federal minister Fawad.
The ECP issued an arrest warrant for Fawad Chaudhry in the case of humiliating the Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner and adjourned the hearing of the case till August 7.
