Court ruled against Imran Khan's physical remand in 12 cases and declared it null and void

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Thursday nullified the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in 12 cases of May 9.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Tariq Saleem and Justice Anwaar-ul-Haq of the LHC heard the petitions against physical remand in 12 cases of founder PTI, while the Prosecutor General Punjab gave arguments in the case.
In the hearing, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh said that you cannot force the accused to undergo photogrammetric test, while Justice Anwaar-ul-Haq Pannu asked when did you realise that modern devices should be used now.
Prosecutor General Punjab Farhad Ali Shah stated in his arguments that the facility for photogrammetric tests is available inside the jail, and there is no need to go out. It would be remiss not to give full opportunity to the prosecution at this juncture. In the end, all the blame falls on the prosecution for failing.
Farhad Ali Shah added that the PTI founder made a special narrative from the tweets. The recovery of the mobiles from which tweets and WhatsApp were made is not possible without investigation. On this, Justice Anwaar said that if the investigating officer cannot take the accused anywhere, how will he recover the mobile phone while the accused is in jail?
Later, the court ruled against Imran Khan's physical remand in 12 cases and declared the remand null and void and also nullified the notification of attendance on the video link of founder PTI.
