Yasmin Rashid’s lawyer says she has been taken to the hospital for a medical checkup as per directions of Anti-terrorism court
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid was admitted to Shaukat Khanum Hospital on Monday.
Yasmin Rashid’s lawyer stated that she was taken to the hospital for a medical checkup as directed by the Anti-terrorism court.
The sources reported that the former health minister was transferred from Kot Lakhpat Jail to Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
Yasmin has been incarcerated in connection with multiple cases related to the events of May 9, 2023, when nationwide riots erupted following the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The former minister was initially detained on May 12 last year under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance. She was later arrested for her alleged involvement in the May 9 riots.
